The Best Dry Shampoos Out There
Here in the PRÊTE office, dry shampoo is, like, one of our favorite products ever. Personally I don't leave home without a can shoved in my purse or gym bag and there is usually one in my car glove box, ya know, just in case.
The introduction of dry shampoo into my regular routine has meant that I no longer have to wash my hair every other day and can easily go for almost a week without lathering up. Even with a fairly vigorous workout schedule.
But more importantly, this wondrous stuff will also refresh your blowout, keeping your new do intact for several days.
To celebrate our adoration for this life-changing product we have pulled together a list of our favorite brands. We suggest you try them all!
Lush No Drought, $14.95, absorbs excess oils while adding volume to your locks. Its amazing citrusy fragrance also makes it smell good enough to eat. We don't suggest you do that, but have at it on your greasy roots.
Klorane Dry Shampoo, $20, contains oat milk which softens and protects your hair, making it ideal for everyday use. The key ingredients in Klorane's Dry Shampoo are plant based, plus it's sodium lauryl sulphate free, cruelty free, and vegan.
Dove Refresh + Care Volume Dry Shampoo is the cheapest of the bunch at just $4.40 a can. It absorbs grease and dirt, leaving your hair weightless, reinvigorated and refreshed.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, $44, is hair heaven in a spray can. While a little on the pricey side, this incredible stuff is worth every dime because a little goes a long, long way. Not only does it have amazing oil zapping powers but it gives your locks incredible volume and texture. Plus it smells simply dreamy.
R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo, $29, has been described as the 'perfect dry shampoo' and is a favorite amongst our staff and stylist friends. It adds great volume and removes oil without leaving your hair feeling dry and looking dull. Plus the smell is intoxicating. People always ask what fragrance I am wearing and I have to tell them it's my dry shampoo.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Original, $8.10, is my personal favorite and go-to brand. This fresh smelling spray is lightweight, adds great volume, and doesn't break the bank. Bonus! For brunettes there is also a darker shade, so no more white powdery residue.
