A Complete Guide to LA's Hotspots
Home to the PRÊTE Beauty Headquarters, Los Angeles is filled with so many restaurants, exclusive shops, star-studded attractions and definitely a fair share of nightlife that it's even hard for us locals to keep up with. From coffee to cocktails, here's a round up of our favorite LA hotspots.
For the morning coffee buzz: Go Get Em Tiger
This coffee bar in Larchmont Village has pastries and food made in-house, indoor seating, and a hand-painted astronaut who looks like he’s floating across the wall. If you’re willing to risk cardiac arrest, consider the Full Nelson, a flight of coffee drinks named for a regular customer that includes an espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, and the phenomenal G&B shake.
For breakfast: Rose Cafe & Restaurant
This trendy Venice space offers the most flexible restaurant the area could have imagined, from breakfast through dinner service. Fresh produce, lots of coffee and plenty of pasta, this menu will not disappoint. You can enjoy a casual bite at the bar or a more composed sit-down experience on the patio. Not to mention, it's super cute inside.
For a westside brunch: Lunetta All Day
Santa Monica’s new daytime gem, Lunetta All-Day, graces Westsiders with a menu that comes by way of former Jiraffe chef Raphael Lunetta. Beyond pastries and coffee, expect savory grain bowls and lemon ricotta pancakes for every morning need.
For drinks with a rooftop view: Mama Shelter
So much more than a simple rooftop, this is also a restaurant... it even offers far reaching views across the city and its legendary Hollywood sign. Mama thinks big, very big!
For dinner + drinks: Delilah
There are few hotter reservation to score in LA right now than Delilah, and for good reason. This sceney restaurant is more than a place to see and be seen—step through the paparazzi-flocked doors and you're bound to bump shoulders with a celeb. This fancy joint has tuxedoed servers, classic American dishes, novel cocktails, and burlesque shows throughout the night.
For a night out: Doheny Room
A relatively new entrant to the West Hollywood nightlife scene is sbe’s Doheny Room. The restaurant and lounge is the sort of place where the ideal dinner reservations are later than 8 p.m. to kick off a long night of dancing at the upstairs lounge.
For a hike with a view: Los Liones Canyon Trailhead
Los Liones Trail weaves up a lush canyon at the south end of Topanga State Park, just a mile from the Pacific Ocean. The ivy and chaparral-lined hike offers glimpses of Santa Monica Bay. After 1.3 miles and 550 feet of elevation gain, Los Liones Trail arrives at a clearing on a ridge at a bench that looks down on the Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, and the ocean beyond.
A day in Malibu: Malibu Wines + Safari
Explore the 1,000 acre Saddlerock Ranch and vineyard in Malibu. Your trusty guide and driver team will lead the adventure on custom-built open-air Safari vehicles. You'll make stops along the way to take in the scenery, taste local wines, and get up close and personal with animals you never knew were Angelinos too: zebras, camels, alpacas, bison, and even Stanley the Giraffe. If you're not up for the safari, grab a blanket and some snacks and spend the day listening to live music at Malibu Wines home base.
